Jason Bertschy Memorial Award


Cody Green was named the 2007 Overall High Point Champion by the Arkansas Junior Cattlemen’s Association during the annual AJCA Leadership Conference and Awards Banquet held December 1 in Little Rock. Cody received the Jason Bertschy Memorial Award for this accomplishment, and he also received High Point Champion honors for senior showmanship, Maine-Anjou, exotic commercial heifers, and overall commercial heifers.

With the addition of these awards, Cody has earned a total of 19 AJCA High Point Champion awards, and 2 Reserves during his AJCA career. Cody has shown multiple champions at the Arkansas State Fair and was the High Point Beef Exhibitor during the 2005 State Fair. Cody has also shown the grand champion open Maine-Anjou heifer at the 2006 Iowa State Fair and the 2005 Tulsa State Fair, as well as the reserve champion at the 2004 Oklahoma State Fair.

Cody has exhibited division champions at the American Royal in Kans
as City, the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, the National Western in Denver, and two Jr. National Maine-Anjou shows.

Cody has also w
on national championships in satellite events at Maine-Anjou and Limousin Jr. National shows. In 2006, Cody was named the National Sweepstakes Champion at the Maine-Anjou Jr. Nationals. He currently serves on the American Maine-Anjou Association National Board of Directors and was the recipient of a 2007 National Maine-Anjou scholarship. Cody has also received scholarships from the Arkansas Jr. Cattlemen’s Association, the national FFA organization, Express Ranches, Triple C Simmentals, and is attending Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma, on a livestock judging scholarship.
