Caitlin was thrilled to be an exhibitor at the 2008 Maine Junior Nationals in Kansas City, Missouri. Ella had been named Supreme Heifer many times during the Spring AJCA show season and Caitlin dreamed of winning the Bred and Owned class at the Junior Nationals.

Ella was born early one morning in a thunderstorm and promptly rolled underneath the fence and into the road where she was later rescued by Caitlins's Dad. Ella was one of the first calves born on our farm and Caitlin thought she was pretty special. She began showing Ella at our County Fair where she was named the "Best Bred Heifer in Cleburne  County" at six months old. Caitlin and Ella went on to win several Supreme Heifer awards around the state including the Grand Champion Maintainer Heifer  honor at the Maine Preview Show in Fayetteville.

Caitlin had a ton of fun at the Junior Nationals with Olivia, Corey, Candace, Dillon, Holly, Mason, Haley, Brandy, and Bobby and she made a  lot of new friends. She placed 10th in intermediate showmanship behind Olivia in 5th and Holly in 9th!  All of Caitlin's expectations were exceeded at the Junior Nationals when Ella won her owned class and the bred and owned class and then went on  to win the National Grand Champion Bred and Owned Maintainer Heifer.

Caitlin began showing in 2005 when she was ten years old. She had watched her brother exhibit steers for several years and decided that she wanted to try it. Caitlin has a natural talent for showing and a special way with animals. She shows Maintainers, Shorthorns, Angus, and commercial heifers, Angus Bulls, and Steers.

In 2006, she exhibited the Supreme Commercial Heifer at the Arkansas State Fair, winning a Purple Circle, and she won the Overall Commercial Heifer Award from the Arkansas Junior Cattlemen's Association. She was honored  to receive the 2006 Jason Bertchy Memorial Award for the Overall High Point Exhibitor from the AJCA.

Caitlin won a Purple Circle for Junior Breeding Beef Showmanship at the 2007 Arkansas State Fair. In 2008, she was the AJCA High Point Angus exhibitor, Reserve High Point in Senior Showmanship, and the the High Point Maintainer Exhibitor.

Caitlin is the daughter of Sam and Susan Haley. She is a ninth grader at Quitman Junior High School. She is a member of Quitman FFA, the Livestock Judging Team, the OCC team, Beta Club, Science Club, Student Council, Class Officer, and the Quitman Junior Girls Basketball team.
